We are currently seeking a motivated and highly organized technical design assistant for our Carlsbad studio. In this role you will assist our senior designers with new builds, kitchen and bath remodels, renovations of various scales, and full room furnishing projects. The goal is to design practical spaces that are also visually pleasing in accordance with our brand's aesthetic. The ideal candidate possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience with clients and vendors, strong diplomacy skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

REQUIREMENTS

• BS degree in Interior Design or similar

• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

• Exceptional organization, project management, and communication skills.

• Ability to initiate tasks and perform duties with little supervision.

• Ability to prepare or approve quote requests, estimates, purchase orders, and invoices.

• Ability to read and understand architectural plans. 

• Experience in producing construction documentation including floorplans, elevations, and schedules.

• Experience with Chief Architect software or equivalent (AutoCAD, SketchUp)

• Minimum 2 years experience in residential design.

• Must have a car and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers with site measures and as-built plans.

• Prepare quotes, estimates, purchase orders, and invoices for FF&E.

• Assist with the creation of construction documentation, such as floor plans, electrical plans, cabinetry designs, and finish schedules. 

• Assist with the selection of FF&E within the client's budget, timeframe, and aesthetic.

• Purchasing, tracking, and scheduling deliveries of FF&E

• Work closely with senior designers,  trades, architects, and General Contractors
